Built for Precision, Driven by Passion

Restoring a classic vehicle isn’t just about making it look new — it’s about honoring its past and ensuring its future. At Artie’s Restorations, our restoration process is the backbone of our success. Each phase is designed to deliver structural integrity, mechanical reliability, and flawless cosmetic results.

From the first inspection to final polish, we execute a step-by-step method that allows for transparency, quality control, and client collaboration at every stage.

Our Commitment to You

At Artie’s Restorations, the process is more than a checklist — it’s our reputation in action. Each restoration receives the time, tools, and talent it deserves. We believe in open communication, expert results, and exceeding expectations.

Our Process

Step 1 – Initial Evaluation & Consultation

Every project begins with a detailed conversation. We assess the condition of your vehicle, discuss goals and budget, and develop a tailored plan that fits your vision. We’ll identify whether you’re seeking a faithful, original restoration or a custom rebuild — and set clear expectations before work begins.

  • Visual inspection of frame, panels, and surface condition
  • Estimate of scope, timeline, and cost
  • Collection of your goals: originality, customization, resale, or display

Step 2 – Complete Disassembly & Cataloging

Once approved, we fully disassemble the vehicle, documenting every part for accuracy. This allows us to uncover hidden damage, rust, or modifications that need correction.

  • Systematic teardown and labeling
  • Part cataloging for restoration, replacement, or modification
  • Structural and mechanical assessment

This phase ensures that no element is overlooked — every nut, bolt, and panel is accounted for.

Step 3 – Frame & Structural Repair

We then turn to the vehicle’s frame and core structure. This includes addressing alignment, damage, and wear, setting the foundation for a reliable and safe restoration.

  • Straightening or replacing the frame if necessary
  • Panel repair or fabrication
  • Installation of necessary reinforcements for performance or safety

Whether the car needs OEM parts or custom-fabricated components, we ensure strength and integrity at this stage.

Step 4 – Rust Repair & Surface Preparation

Corrosion is one of the biggest threats to classic vehicles. We treat all affected areas thoroughly, using rust inhibitors and metalwork techniques to restore and protect the vehicle’s body.

  • Rust removal through media blasting or cut-and-replace methods
  • Surface sealing with corrosion-resistant primers
  • Prepping bodywork for flawless paint adhesion

This phase also ensures long-term durability and finish stability.

Step 5 – Paint Application in Sealed Down-Draft Booth

Our facility features a professional sealed down-draft spray booth to ensure a clean, dust-free environment and optimal paint curing. Whether you choose original factory paint codes or a custom finish, we guarantee precision.

  • High-end primer, sealer, and base/clear application
  • Wet sanding and multi-stage buffing for showroom shine
  • Color match verification and customer approval

We pride ourselves on crisp lines, uniform coverage, and deep, lasting color.

Step 6 – Reassembly & Systems Integration

Once painted, your vehicle is carefully reassembled. This includes electrical, mechanical, and interior systems, all tested and installed with care.

  • Electrical wiring, gauges, and lighting setup
  • Engine and drivetrain installation or tuning
  • Interior component fitting: seats, dash, panels, trim
  • Alignment and suspension work as required

No shortcuts — every reinstalled part is double-checked for fit, function, and finish.

Step 7 – Final Detailing & Inspection

Before delivery, we complete a thorough final inspection and detail. This includes road testing, fine-tuning, polishing, and a full review checklist.

  • Paint correction and polishing
  • Final mechanical and safety checks
  • Photo documentation and delivery prep
  • Customer walkthrough and feedback session

You receive a fully documented restoration and the peace of mind that every part was handled professionally.
